WHAT IS A LIFESTYLE SHOOT ?
A lifestyle shoot is a more casual photo shoot than the traditional formal family portraits. I use the word lifestyle because I want the families to act as natural as possible in front of the camera and as much in their normal lifestyle as possible.

HOW MUCH DOES A LIFESTYLE SHOOT COST ?
It will cost $280 for a one hour lifestyle shoot. For more details on pricing, click here.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN THE LEAD UP TO THE SHOOT ?
After securing the booking with a deposit or payment of the invoice, I will email a short questionnaire for you to fill in. This will help me to understand a bit more about your family and why you've decided to have your photos taken. From this info I will then put together a shoot planner that will include all the shoot details, like time and location but also helpful details to help you prepare, such as styling and posing tips.

I'M NERVOUS IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA, ANY SUGGESTIONS ?

WHO DECIDES ON THE LOCATION ?
If you have a special location in mind, I am more than happy to shoot where you prefer. Otherwise I can suggest some gold coast photo locations that would suit your style.

DOES THE LOCATION HAVE TO BE ON THE GOLD COAST ?
I'm happy to travel south to the Tweed Coast, there are some stunning locations in Casuarina, Kingcliff and Cabarita.

WHAT'S THE BEST TIME OF THE DAY TO SHOOT ?
Generally early in the morning around 7.30-9.00am, and late in the afternoon around 3.30-5.00pm, are the best times to shoot, as the sun is lower in the sky, with softer light.

WHAT DO I WEAR ON THE SHOOT ?
When shooting outdoors it's best to wear neutral, plain clothes so you don't contrast too heavily to your surroundings. Avoid bold prints, keep it simple. I would suggest choosing one or two colours and having everyone who is going to be in the photos dress in those colours. This means you won't all be matchy matchy in the demin jeans and white shirt clique, but you will still blend together nicely in the photos.

SHOULD I GET HAIR AND MAKE UP DONE ?
Totally up to you, some people feel more comfortable in front of the camera having their hair and make up done, but it is certainly not an expectation.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY KIDS LOSE IT ON A SHOOT ?
It happens all the time, no big deal and despite your absolute best efforts, it's likely to happen, so don't feel bad, I will work around it.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT'S RAINING ON SHOOT DAY ?
If it does rain, I am more than happy to reschedule to another day.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL THE SHOOT AT THE LAST MINUTE ?
No problems, happy to reschedule. If we are unable to reschedule for any reason, you may forfeit your deposit.

HOW WILL I GET THE PHOTOS ?
I will send you a link to download the photos from an online gallery.
